I only found it only necessary to post some common errors most pet owners make with training their furry ones; since we will be offering training classees for your puppy or adult doggy soon. the number one mistake known to man is Giving your pet too many treats when not necessary. It is not a requiermnent to give your pet a reward for each positive behavior it does. a simple pat on the head along with a "GOOD DOGGY" will have the same effect! Because after awhile your pet will not do anything you command unless, treats are present. ANother major mistake would have to be for new pet owners whom loose their patience way to quickly ! Please understand owning a puppy is like having a baby who doesn't speak, which makes things ten times harder since they can not tell us what they are thinking or feeling; we just have to guess. alot of first time pet owners feel the need to hit or yell at their pets when misbehaving or have an accident indoors etc; this is not the answer! IT takes hours, days, months and alot of patience to train your pet to do exactly what you would like it to do. Patience is key when owing a pet, especially a new pet who has to get adapted to its new surroundings and of course yourself, its new owner. SO come on by and learn many new ways to help yourself and your pet be exactly where your relationship should be, a happy place :)

The experience of opening and running my own store with the help of everyone is more then words could ever describe, so i wont even try :) yet the feeling is still overwhelming after 3 weeks later.. Im happy to announce we will soon be offering training and will announce class prices and times as soon as we figure out the perfect times. HOpe to see new faces soon :)

    Samantha Owner
    Caregiver @ NYCPS

hi !! IM owner and creator of NYC Pet Services, INC. I first started walking dogs at the age of 13. Since then, I acquired a lot of experience working in vet clinics, helping the doctor in various tasks as well as volunteering&working at different kennels. Shortly afterwards, i worked for an infamous dog hotel within the heart of Manhattan, but did not like how at night they were created for bed, rather than giving the client and the pet, the option of freedom from stress and anxiety which comes from being locked in a crate for many hours.
So, i decided to take a chance on my own and start my own business where cage-less private boarding and daily daycare would be offered, but together with freedom and all the TLC every pet deserves. Also my main motto and goal is to provide a loving "like home experience". SInce then, i have never had a single disappointed client, and i continue to offer excellent service at low rates all in the heart of a Astoria and with an excellent team behind me :)
